Dialect Coaching
Trained in both Paul Meier and David Alan Stern, and fluent with IPA, Rachel has mastered nearly 20 accents and dialects, with professional experience as a coach for community and high school productions, including The Secret Garden, Bright Star, Steel Magnolias, The Guys, and PUFFS.
Capable of coaching full casts in large groups or individuals in one-on-one settings, she offers coaching in-person, over Zoom, or can pre-record videos to be used anytime. Rachel has a highly adaptive and inventive teaching style - no knowledge of IPA or any other voice and speech training is needed prior to coachings, which will also include access to “Easy Guides.” Based in Paul Meier and personally assembled by Rachel, these one to two page documents are the essentials of any accent, made simple for easy access, reference, and application while preparing for an audition or role; or keeping an accent fresh and accurate throughout a run.
